SCHOOLS SHOULD DO MORE TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE NON-ACADEMIC ASPECTS OF ADULTHOOD.
I agree with the abovementioned
statement to a great extent. Adulthood is more than academics, what they teach
in school is primarily based on academics. A school should nurture the children’s
probity, instill them with good morals.
A nation is nothing without a
great public, schools are primarily focused on producing unprecedented well behaved
academically superior employees from their well-oiled machinery. Which innately
results in lost generation who don’t know that academics isn’t the only
yardstick to measure themselves. Every year we lose a great eccentric talent because
he was judged based on academics. Rather than beating around the bush, I want
to say that school system is outdated. Which is in serious need for reformation.
Even in contemporary world a student opting for science is made ignorant of finances, taxes, etc . And in adulthood a that student had to go looking for help because his comprehension was made limited to science only. So, anything apart from the things he studied are like an alien to him. A generalist can survive anywhere but a specialist is nothing apart from his field.
A school should nurture a kid in such a way that we are greeted with a morally good generation, who believe and work toward meliorism, have ambitions and help build their nation. A generation who have respect towards elder, their parents. A philanthropist generation and then world would be a better place.
To sum up everything written above, young generation are the future of a nation, and a pot turns out to be exactly like how a potter made it to be. That’s why school should prepare the students for adulthood rather than academics.
